6th Annual Shelby Car Show in Plano - Sat June 27
Just a reminder, this is coming up ... we usually support this event at Legacy Bank. SCAT assists with parking, however in past years they have reserved the drive thru bank lanes for the Cobras. Formal start time is 10 am, but if you are bringing a car I suggest nlt 9 am. The drive thru bank entry is from southbound Preston Rd, second bank entrance, just south of the Legacy intersection. Latest email..... Welcome All Shelby Car Show Participants! We look forward to seeing you and your car this Saturday at our 6th Annual Shelby Car Show! Thank you for joining us as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mustang GT 350. As you are probably aware, we closed registration early due to huge response of car participants. Over 200 Shelby related cars will be on display again this year. Another record year thanks to all of you. Please refer to the information and check-in schedule below to help answer any questions you may have. We encourage all of you to arrive at the designated scheduled time as we anticipate another record crowd in attendance. CHECK-IN AND SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY, JUNE 27th Arrive at LegacyTexas Bank 5000 Legacy Drive (corner of Preston & Legacy) Plano, TX 75024 8:30 a.m. – All show cars arrive to reserve your parking spot o ALL REGISTERED CAR PARTICIPANTS MUST ENTER AT THE PRESTON ENTRANCE AND CHECK-IN WITH LEGACY OFFICIAL o Official will direct you where to park o ALL REGISTERED car participants can go straight to “CHECK-IN” at the PATIO or MAIN ENTRANCE to pick up your gift bag (You will need to sign by your name to receive your gift) o CHECK-IN is located inside the bank branch near the teller windows · 9:30 A.M. – All REGISTERED SHOW CARS SHOULD BE PARKED. o For all NON-REGISTERED CARS, we will fill empty spots after 9:30 a.m. IF there are empty parking spots left, a LegacyTexas representative will greet you with a registration form. If the lot is full, you will be directed next door to park. 10:00 a.m. – Event opens to public ESPN GameDay Show goes LIVE! Silent auction begins Carroll Shelby merchandise trailer opens Corny dog station opens Photographer available for pictures inside bank · 12:00 NOON – “The Rev” – Tribute to Carroll Shelby o Join us on the patio for special announcements 1:30 p.m. - Silent Auction ends Aaron Shelby available for autographs inside the banking center 2:00 p.m. - Shelby Car Show ends CAR TRAILERS If you plan to trailer your car, please see attached map to find the designated area to park your trailer prior to the show. You will be directed to the St. Jude Medical parking lot to park and unload your car in the grassy area adjacent to the parking lot. PARKING If you have any family members or friends following you to the show, we have an underground parking garage at the bank available to the public. Once filled, we will direct people next door to St. Jude Medical parking lot. Please refer to attached map to show additional parking. Didn't get an email this year, I can't remember if I got one in prior years, I always just looked up the web site. Anyway, I'm not registered in advance, so I don't plan to attend. There won't be any parking if you wait till 9:30.

I was able to email Ginger at the email above and get registered. I don't think it's a big deal though if you're not registered, you just won't get a goody bag.

I just spoke with Ginger with Legacy Texas and she said that there will be additional parking spaces even if you are not registered. She also said that there were a few cancellations on the registration and she is going through the waiting list right now.
Ginger told me that they are reserving an area in the parking garage for the Cobra's in case it rains in the morning. Everyone with a Cobra should be at this show! |
I sent Ginger my info, haven't heard back. I'd like to park with the before 8:30 crowd and not be sent to the overflow lot. The goodie bag is not so good, so I don't care about that :rolleyes:

Since this will be my first event with you guys I hope to meet many of you there.
For now I plan to attend the meet and greet at Bone Daddy's in Plano tonight. Assuming I can get the time to clean the car at some point today. |

Hey Sammy I told her I wanted to park with the Cobras and she was fine with that. Looks like rain in the am and she said they would be sending out update late Friday afternoon or evening with status.
