DFW First Saturday for August
A message from El Presidente...
We decided to see if we could meet at Jakes in downtown Grapevine. Early as we can due to hot temperatures. Does anybody know anyone there to make a reservation? What is the parking situation? FW guys weigh in, please.**)

Don. Parking is very limited in front of Jakes. Maybe 12 or so spaces in front. I would suggest The Original Pancake House across from Classic Chevy. Good breakfast place and plenty of parking right in front.

The Original Pancake House sounds like a plan.
Let's make it 9:30 to meet and eat around 10. That gives those that want to a chance to go to Cars and Coffee and still get breakfast, too. We beat the heat and are out of there by 11-11:30.

Hey gang, I live in Keller and am shopping Cobras now. I hope you don't mind my showing up to pick your brain a little ;-). I'm looking at either a new or slightly used Backdraft 427. Would love to get your feedback!
I will be in a gray 911 Turbo. It may not be a cobra but its a 850hp beast nonetheless!

Plan to attend. Do we have parking reserved as at 9:30 am that place will be packed! Anyone in the Plano, Frisco, McKinney area want to meet at Quaker Steak/Lube around 8:45 am???

I tried calling them earlier today to warn them, get their blessing, and did not get an answer. They're closed now so we will need a blocker in the morning. I don't have any cones, but can get there early to start holding places with chairs. Looks like we are up to 12 or so. Figuring on 15-20 total.

This will be interesting as they open at 6:30 am. I love their food but know how packed they are on Saturday am. You might call them first in the am and make sure this is going to work for us and if not give us a heads up.
