Labor Day-Austin area get-together

As some of you know, over the past few weeks, I have had to rebuild most of the upper end of the engine in my Cobra. My plans are to try to start it next Monday (Labor Day). I would like to invite any and all of you car guys/gals over to my house on Monday morning around 10am. I will need you moral support and gear-head know-how to ensure that the initial firing up goes smoothly.

I will provide burgers, chips, water, and soda. Bring whatever else you would like to munch on. The meal will be around the noon time. If any of y'all have other Labor Day events to attend feel free to come and go as you like.

It has been a while since we had a big get-together here in Austin. Hopefully some of the new folks will join us and we can kickoff a fall season with several other activities.

Let me know if you think you are coming so I get enough food and fixins' for everyone. Drive your Cobra...my neighbors won't mind a bit!!

This is not limited to the just the Austin Group...the more the merrier!!

Well... today was a huge success! The 289 came back to live another day!! It was a team effort and I cannot thank enough those of you that offered up your moral support, gallons of sweat, and technical know-how. I am honored and blessed to have so many dear friends willing to give up their time, especially a holiday, and lend a hand to my project. My many thanks to Rich Bassemir, Steve Klestinec, Randy Jeter,Chad Rains, David Keirns, Gregg Herdlitchka and Amy, Warren and Judy Poole, Frank and Sue Riha, Eric Lyczak, John Shelton, Don Wallace, and Jay Nordstrom for everything y'all did today.
