Hello from west Houston
Hey everyone. I just wanted to post to say hi. I am new to Cobra building and have recently decided to plan on my first one. Hopefully making my purchase early next year.
I am hoping to get in contact with members in and around my area to that I can unabashedly learn from.
I saw that there is a post about a meet in north Houston at a Twin Peaks. Anyone know if there are any Cobra owners that show up for it>
Thanks

The Houston guys should be adding info soon. They have a Yahoo Group. Just go to Groups and search Houston Cobra. If you are on Facebook, there is a Texas Cobra Club page there. Come join us in March for the Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet in San Marcos. You don't have to have a car to join the fun. Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet – 2017

That would be me that posted it. They have the show there almost every Sunday and July 2 is a meet there at 9AM and then a brisk run through the Sam Houston National Forest just North of Twin Peaks off I45. The Houston Cobra Club will be announcing soon their annual OctCobrafest which is always really cool with a big turn out. Second weekend in October and back to the hill country this year!!!!!! Just got my new 63 Grand Sport replica and can't wait...............

Awesome. Yes I heard about the July 2nd run. I am planning on attending with my 2014 Focus ST. It's not a Cobra but its still a pretty sporty ride. Any chance some Cobras will be there? I would love to see some in person.

Where in west Houston are you located [Katy?]
I am located along the Washington Ave corridor between Westcott and Shepherd drive - Backdraft with a coyote motor sitting in my garage.

Yup, I am in Katy. North of I-10 near Clay Rd. and Fry.
I have heard of Backdraft. They look like really nice cars from what I can tell on their web site. I don't think they sell kits though, just turn key models, right?
Will you be at the July 2nd cruise?

Hello from west Houston
Yes - Backdrafts are turn key minus - all it will need is motor/tranny and any accessories you want.
Not sure about July meet - heat is the killer in these cars in the summer.
