Texas DMV revoking kit car titles?

WTF?

Dave,

That sucks. You must have some of Californias politicians back there. They have been trying to do away with anything but vehicles that are less than 5 years old out here for a long time. If they had their way the only people in this dam Republic that could have any vehicle would be the politicians and their wealthy friends that keep them in office.

Agree, You must have a few enviro safety nazis out there trying to impose their left wing facsist agendas over those less enlightened...

If dune buggies are too "stripped down" to be safe what are motorcycles?

Dave, I read the article. It appears poorly sourced and extrapolates it's own facts for sensational effect. Fake news IMHO.

Best authoritative source for TXDMV position on our cars is the "Assembled Vehicle Manual" see:

Assembled Vehicle Manual

I don't think much has changed. Can't speak for the Myers Manx crowd, but if it has a body it's probably just a re-bodied V-Dub.

Best regards,
Sam

Hey Sam, thanks for that

I concur with Sam, and no nothing has changed in the manual since 2014.
