Octcobrafest - kerrville, texas oct 4-7th!

Larry Kirkwood asked me to post this Texas Cobra Club Fall Event that he and the Houston Group put together. Sounds fun and some of us from Dallas already made reservations to come down and participate in running the Hill Country this fall.

Hey Guys.... Hotel registrations are open and working perfectly fine for Octcobrafest 2018 Oct 4-7th We will have the following amenities, and maybe more to come as time permits me.

1: TWO, awesome full day drives scheduled both Friday, and Saturday.
2: Two groups of drivers. Scenic, and legal. Not so legal speeds in the other
group.
3: Dinner prime rib buffet is $20pp Saturday, October 6th at 7pm. All you
can eat. At the hotel restaurant and you will pay the restaurant directly.
4: Rain, Sleet, or Snow I am personally promising drives, and fun. If not, I
will make fun of you.
5: New Hotel Venue. - Inn Of The Hills Kerrville, Texas, 830-217-
3397. Its way cheaper than years past too!! $109 for single, doubles are
$119.00 (tell them Houston Cobra Club)
6: In an effort to drive during cooler times of the day, avoid less congestion
during the drives, less police, less chance of wild life running in front of an
oncoming car, we will start earlier. We will have designated, secured area
to park our cars, and that is where we will meet, choose who wants to
drive in which group and part ways by 9am promptly. Of course you can
always shorten the runs or modify as you deem appropriate. There is also
room for trailer parking at the hotel.

See you all the first weekend of October!

If you plan on driving the Three Sisters (aka: Twisted Sisters) route I highly recommend a scouting run prior. I've come across road construction and gravel thrown up on the roadway in sections on prior trips.
Sounds like a fun trip, have fun.

For those going and plan on driving the 3 sisters, I believe it`s on 337, be sure and stop at the classic motorcycle museum.
$5 to look at the bikes and in the back of the museum they have a food area that serves DAMN GOOD burgers on jalapeno bun bread.
