Let's Take Some Action and Make this Beautiful GT40 Concept a Production Reality!!! http://www.net1.net/~neto/spyder/01fordgt40.jpg Recently, I email Ford Motor Co., concerning the new GT40 concept and this is what Ford said: Quote:
Kindly, take a moment (minute or two) and email your inquirey and interest into the new GT40 Concept from Ford (link): https://www.ford.com/en/support/cont...LE&sBrand=Ford The GT40 will be to Ford, what the Viber is to Dodge and Corvette to Chevy. Thank-you, in advance for your help. ...make this Concept a Reality. Let's bring Ford back, from the slow economy. Ernest Rally with a Cause http://www.net1.net/~neto/spyder/02fordgt40.jpg |

...This reminds me of High School (a long long time ago), pre gathering before a High School game,
cheering the Team to Victory.... fun, fun, fun... Make some noise!!! Make some noise!!! http://www.net1.net/~neto/spyder/Cover40.jpeg There are many benefits of having a vehicle produced from the manufacture (Ford Motor Co.) including: warranty and financing issues. We all love the original GT40's from the late sixties. This new concept is not a replacment, but a supplement to the GT40 line. Later, Ernest Rally with a Cause |
I love GT40's!!!! But if you've seen all the images of the prototypes Ford has for these, you'd probably freak out -- like I did. If they bring this car back (which I would really love!), they are probably going to butcher it bigtime! And I still couldn't afford it at the (so far) speculative price.
Luckily, I can build a kit (more like an original), so now I just have to wait until the lottery chooses my numbers. %/ Cheers. |
Cobra Dude, what do you mean:

Ernest,
Haven't seen the lastest iteration of the body on the new (concept) GT-40, but apparently if they bring it back, the street version will be different (in and out) than the 60's version -- from some of the possibility pics I've seen (can't remember source, but a friend was showing me some pics) it's likely to not be as nice as the original. I'd still be going with a kit then. That's all I meant by "butcher". Cheers, -Neil. |
