Auto Trailer for rent

What is an economical way to haul my Cobra to San Marcus from north Dallas?

Uhaul trailers are pretty high to just sit there for a week.
Suggestions appreciated.

I rented Uhaul 3 or 4 times over the years to take cars back and forth from Colorado to Vegas. Some were round trip and some were one way. Uhaul is the only place that rents the trailers standalone. All others require you to rent their towing vehicle as well (ie, as part of a moving van package).

It will be cheaper to do a weekly rental and return it to the original place than to do two one-way rentals with a split.

Note: I found the Uhaul open front trailer to be susceptible to "rock throw" from the towing vehicle rear wheels. It's especially nasty in the winter with salt/gravel or rain (your car will get very dirty from spray). I tried to cover the vehicle with the white vehicle wrap (I got the same stuff Shelby used, in fact, they gave me a partial roll). The down side of that material is that it lifted on the trailing edge and flapped in the breeze and I ended up with some wear in the clear coat (a detailer was able to work it out). Bottom line is that if you are expecting any weather I'd look for another arrangement. Noone rents an open single vehicle trailer with a rock guard (or toolbox on the front which does the same thing).

Get in, get numb and go fast to the next gas station. The smile lasts

Drive it or UHaul are the best options I know. If you go with the UHaul, you may need a floor jack to raise the front of the trailer(while attached to truck) to load and unload.

A trailer is a good idea. The weather may be good when you arrive, but 2 years ago it was cold with a lot of rain on Sunday, and I felt sorry for the guy who left Sunday morning headed back to Ohio. I was lucky the one year I drove and the weather was ok, missed one year when it was raining cats and dogs near my house, and have been using my Cobra Express the last 2 years. Also a good idea in case something breaks, makes it easier to get it home.

Oh yeah, I can tell you for a fact you will need to build up the ramps on the U-haul. I bought two 2x10s and cut them to make a 3-stack high ramp with staggered lengths.
