Ceramic Coatings...Houston Area?
Can anbody recommend a ceramic coatings company in the Houston area? Also, need a powder coating company. Thanks! Len

can't say much about the houston area, but if you want it done right and only done one time. get in touch with high performance coatings in ok. city ok.

Powder Coats and Jet Hot
I can't say for Houston either but we have a guy here in Victoria who has the distributorship w/ Jet Hot (recently did a set of cobra BB headers and side pipes .. they look great) and does powder coating himself. Has done some really good work. His name is Jim Jenkins @ 361-574-9335.

Polymer Dynamics 713 694-3296 located north of downtown at 4116 Siegal St. They did my headers and side pipes. They have a glossy ceramic that looks good. Mine are charcoal colored. They do a lot of performance coatings on engine parts etc. Lots of pro performance stuff.

Ceramics Houston
I am having my coated by Thermatech in Virginia. I talked with Ed Combs, Double Venom, and said he has heard alot of good thing about them. I talked with Buzz Vaughn there and they have a machine, I think it is a Vibratory, that will polish them to a high gloss. I want mine as close to chrome as possible. I learned to ask if they have a machine that can handle side pipes. When I talked to Polymer Dynamics in Houston their machine is not big enough to do side pipes at one time. They have to do one half and then the other which can cause a separation line to occur. Also make sure that if your pipes have been used or have chrome on them that whoever you use has the ability to throughly clean the inside and outside and remove any chrome. |
