Headers for 2006 lone star 351/408?

Looking for replacements. Mine have several cracks I am trying to weld up, but want a back up plan. Coated or not as I will be wrapping them to reduce heat in engine bay. If you know where they might be a aisle that would help too. I cannot spot them in summit or several others. ???

Bruce, I have heard wrapping exhaust header pipes can cause the pipes to crack. I can not verify this as fact, you may want to do some research on the matter. Good luck rectifying your header issue. John

The internet is such a full resource. I am getting mine off to a great welder and will redcoat it. Skipping the wrap after 100’s of bad result pictures. Thanks for prompting me to look.

Bruce,
Heat is a big challenge for my Cheetah, so I had the headers and sidepipes ceramic coated inside and out. They look great and it helps keep the heat inside the pipes.

I welded the header, painted with hi temp header paint and added new gaskets. Will monitor repair. If they Re crack, I will order new set from lone star. Found out base material is thin wall steel, ceramic coated.

Lone Star used a great welding shop in Sanger (not far from Hicks Field). True craftsmen! It’s on the main north-south highway that runs thru town. Near the grain silos.
I have some unused side pipes and Chambered mufflers if you need.

Hmmm. What is the finish on the side pipes?

The headers were quite nicely made. The crack looked like a seam on the tube let go.
