Hello,

Was hoping someone in Austin could suggest a place that could perform a tune up and carb set for a 1966 Ford Fairlane with a 427 side oiler and 4 speed top loader.

It was gifted to my son and he is looking to get it running right.

Located in Austin Texas.

Appreciate it.

That's a great gift. However, it is a Galaxie, a full size coupe. The Fairlane was a mid-size Ford.

How old is your son and what's his mindset? Punks with new Mustangs, Camaros, etc. will always ag him on. It might run like a raped ape but won't stop with it's drum brakes and skinny tires.

We have a local (older than me) guy that has an older (round rear tail lights ) version of the same car.

When we see each other at a red light, we stage like at a drag strip and slowly glide away.

Hopefully your son can do the same.
