Howdy

Hey guys, how are the kits going? Very slow on mine. I'm going to go pick up my rear end tomorrow. Probably change the gears to 3:55s and add 5 lug axles. Anyone know of a good place to order the axles? Going to start rebuilding the tranny soon. Hopefully in a few weeks I can make that day trip to Lone Star for more goodies!!:D

Great!

I've got 1/2 the front end built, trying to pay attention to details details details....(tough for me).

I did manage to pick up a 1969 351W 4 brl motor today. It's the 290 horse, 10.5:1...figure it'll make a nice little 392w!! The guy says it's never been milled or nutin!

Any input on a rotating assmbly?

Also looking for a good machine shop in the Ft Worth, Denton area...Dallas if I have too.

Dang it this is fun!

B&B in Euless

Pidler,
When I lived up there, I had some machine work done by B&B over in Euless. They did a good job, I don't remember how there pricing was. I had a friend who's dad owned a shop there in Euless and he had all his work done by them. It's the same family that has B&B wrecker there in the HEB area.

OK guys, this may be taboo for Cobras but I am thinking on going with an automatic. I need to know what do yall prefer a C-4 or C-6? Thanks

automatic trans

I saw a lone star cobra with an auto at Lone star when I picked up my car. The guys there made it work, but it is a real tight fit. I think that the extra size caused problems. I suggest you talk to Dennis at lone star before you do anything. I just got my 428 fired up this weekend. Had to re-install the distributor and put the plug wires in the right spot..turn the key and wow talk about a good sound.

Pidler...you should come by and check it out.

I have a C6 behind my 351 Cleveland, but that is what I had lying around the shop. Most everyone is using a C4 which can be built to withstand most anything. C4 is also lighter than C6, but C6 can be build bulletproof also. It is a toss-up. Confused? Later, David Shelton.

Seems like I remember Carroll Shelby hisself had a one-off automatic 351 Cobra at one time!

Paul Cass in Corpus has an automatic in his Lone Star...email me if you don't know who he is and I'll give you his email.
