Wimberly Saturday
If the weather permits I'm planning a Hill Country cruise to Wimberly this Saturday morning. I'll take 1826 from Oakhill to Driftwood, FM150 to FM3237 (Old Kyle Rd) into Wimberly. Nice rolling hills and creeks. I plan to start around 8:30 - 9:00 am, check in at the Lumber Yard, have breakfast/lunch, and get back to Oakhill around 1:00-2:00 pm before the heat of the day kicks in. Anyone wanting to cruise, call me at 288-0446. :3DSMILE:

Anyone else wanting to cruise the Hill Country, and have a burger and a beer?:3DSMILE: |
who could turn down a burger and beer? I have to take my girlfrfiend to the airport early Saturday morning, so I will *try* and make it. Where to meet up? I'll be coming from Lakeway.

I will give you a call Friday evening . Let me know if anything comes up with the cruzzz . Mustang Mendez Boy you will get to see the flames on the bed of the Dually |
Open Seat?
Jeff R; Give me a call at 288-0446. I live 4 miles from the Oakhill "Y" on Hwy 71. We'll start the cruise from my house at 9:00 am. Will you have an open seat in your Cobra? If so we might get others who might want to ride shotgun.:3DSMILE:
Tony; Where has Neil (CobraDude) been lately? Can you duplicate your 2002 Spring Meet video tape? If not, bring your tape with you, and I'll duplicate after we get back from Wimberly. |
Where is Cobra Dude
Cobra Dude has been busy cutting yards and cleaning Swimming pools to pay his bills since he is still jobless.HA
No really he has been hard at work trying to catch up .I guess since his Cobra is here in my shop he doesn't feel like a real cobra owner . The good news he is OK last I heard . Mustang Mendez |

I'm here...
Hey Ed, I'm still here. Actually left you a PM yesterday as well -- perhaps you are not setup to receive emails on PM's...?
Been busy with a lot of stuff going on. Also had an incident very recently -- crushed a finger in a hydraulic shear, and it'll be out of commission for quite a while -- just another wrench to the already-hectic phase. I'm very lucky though -- it wasn't too deep in the machine where the actual "blade" is -- just the part that compresses the metal to hold it in place. That was still enough though, cause this particular machine will shear up to 1/2" plate. So what happened with the Austin meet for April? I got on here real quickly and was a bit confused by which week it was. Did you guys (and gals) meet already for this month? Hey, I still feel like a real Cobra owner, cause well mine is registered, has been on the street and is much closer to being streetable that some of the other CMC's in this area.  BTW Tony, need your swimming pool cleaned? :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: Cheers, -Neil. |
Neil; Glad to hear your okay. You been quiet on the forum for several weeks. I stopped by your house several times while cruising the 620, 2222, 360, 71 loop. As for this months meet, I have no clue what happened or who showed up at C&C. I guess we're doing Fayetteville with the Houston bunch on the 18th of May. I'm trying to duplicate several tapes from the 2002 Spring Meet. I need a copy of your tape as well. Give me a call when you can. How's your CMC comming along? Is Tony milking the job?
|
Yeah, been sort of low-profile for a bit. Call me on Saturday or after and let's meet for coffee/chat/etc. I'll bring the tape.
Cheers! |
Ed, I *may* have an open seat, but since I have to be at the airport ~7:00am and then drive to lakeway to get my car I'm going to be cutting it close to be there by 9:00am. I'd hate to leave someone stranded if I'm late, especially someone I've never met... Also, I have a houseguest this weekend and I have no idea yet if she'd like to go. I'll find out this evening. So, if you can be a LITTLE flexible on the 9am thing, I can be there. And, as I stated above, I can let this board know if I have an open seat, 'cause I'd like to have a passenger. Let's hope the weather is nice...

Jeff; No problem. Tony and I will wait for you. Call me at 288-0446 and I'll give you directions to my house. It doesn't look like rain for Saturday, so Wimberly is a go. As for your copilot seat, not to worry, bring your house guest along.
Neil; I'll give you a call when we get back from Wimberly. We can meet at Starbucks in Lakeway for coffee, unless you want to tag along with us Saturday morning. Either way lets meet. I can get your tape, and start making a master VHS tape of the 2002 Spring Meet. With Tony's, your's, and my tape we should have several hours of the meet. Cammer; Want to join us tomorrow morning, it's been awhile?:3DSMILE: |
Ed, I'll pass on Wimberly this time, but yes, do call me.
Jeff, are you the Jeff that I met out on 620? Do you have a Green Cobra with green-ish stripes? Cheers, -Neil. |
Instructions to my house
Jeff; From Lakeway take 620 to 71, make left on 71 heading to Oakhill. Take the first right (Thomas Springs Road) after passing Southwest Parkway. Make the first left (Anchusa) and then a right on Conifer Cove. My address is 6500 Conifer Cove. See you in the morning.:3DSMILE:
