Stretch- What's the latest????

Stretch,
O.K., I can't stand it anymore!! What's up? What's the latest word on that engine? Do you have it back yet? Are you sneaking around the Hill country in stealth mode (FAT CHANCE!) looking for C-5 'vettes & vipers trying to ruin their day? Are you still on track for THE RANCH? C'mon now, give it up! Inquiring minds WANT TO KNOW!
There now, I've got that out of my system. I think I will just go get another cup of coffee and go back to work. Oh, yeah, John jr. & I are flying to N.O. Friday & driving the car back Saturday.......... WITH MY NEW HARD TOP!!!
Take that!!
Your friend.............

Charmer,

What's the latest on your engine? Is it back in or what?

Finally finishing mine, just need to bleed brakes and get it aligned..........

Not meaning to step on Stretch's toes here. He told me Monday the 20th that he had just spent all weekend putting it back in the car. Then, as he was filling her with coolant it was pouring out of the weep hole as fast as he was putting it in. It was a "Bad, out-of-the-box" Edlebrock H2O pump. He needs another. He is out of town through Friday evening. He ordered another and I told him that if it came in I'd put it in for him so he could make it to Motorsport Ranch on Saturday. No word on the part yet.

David, you are what it's all about!!

Ren,
You truly are a "Ren Man"!! This is what it's all about, friends helping out friends. I truly hope it comes in and we see both you and Stretch at the Rench this coming Saturday.
What a big family we have become!!
Pretty COOL, if you ask me!

John,

Afraid I won't make it regardless. I'm in the process of building new brackets for my Griffen that I'm installing, plus a new H2O pump (wish it would fit on Stretch's car, I'd put it on), Braided hoses, oil cooler and the like.

Hope you all have fun. Boo hoo!!!!
