Using Shell gasoline? Maybe you shouldn't...
|
I always try and use Sunoco. They offer 94 octane plus 90% of their crude oil comes from the U.S.

I've had problems with Shell.
Just passing along my own, recent experience. Bought a used Z06 a couple of months ago--the owner made a point out of telling me that he only used Chevron. Anyway, the car was on empty so I went to the nearest station, yup, Shell. Not only did the gas gauge flip out a few times, but the computer couldn't figure out how to deal with the fuel--the car pinged under load, and nearly dieseled at shut down. When the tank was half empty, I topped it off with Chevron and an octane booster. No more problems.
