David, I am having a guy in Houston do the build for me. Here is an exercpt from an e-mail on the seats. Looks like some real fun. His thought after the fact was take a 5 LB hammer and reshape the transmission tunnel! At last count he had about 9 hours in the seat install. When you get to that point, I will give you his name and number so he can fill you in on his learnings.
James "Well, here is the deal, the car is killing me. Tonight we worked on installing the seats again and thought we had it all worked out but after installing the seat belts the passenger seat did not want to fit. Anyway we will try it again next time but we have spent way to much time on the seats. There is very little wiggle room to install them, I know they will go in because other folks have done it but they are definitely not nearly as forgiving as the original seats." |
James,
Nearly done, A/C, builder in Houston... Not Patrick is it? If so, I can pick his brains directly. He probably gets more email questions than he wants from me. Dave |
For my 2 cents:
1. monthly meeting, weekday evening over dinner, cheap, cold beverages 2. same day each time, i.e. 3rd Tuesday - easy to remember 3. same location for 6 months at a time - much better service, no lost persons, easy to remember This serves as a coordination point for activities, discuss car problems/questions. Eliminates the need for a newsletter, officiers, dues and the rest of the nonsense that usually bog down "clubs". Maybe an email list ONLY used for ONE monthly notification... okay forget that suggestion! Roger |
