Marble Falls - Friday Afternoon

I'm planning to arrive at the hotel late Friday morning. I would like to run out to Marble Falls and back in the afternoon. Almost three years ago I had fun driving it in my compact pickup on my way to pick up some engine parts in Burnet. Been wanted to do it, again, ever since. As I recall, it's about 3 hours round trip - ??? - depending upon the exact route. I was thinking about leaving around 1:00 to 1:30.

Anyone interested in joining me?

I'll be at the 'House of Naja' trailer.

Regards,
Frank Newman

It's a GREAT drive in a Cobra!!

Frank,
If memory serves, f/m road 1431 from Marble Falls to Round Rock is a REALLY fun two lane road in a Cobra "IF" there has not been any rain in the immediate past! I do remember some areas that were prone to silt washout, which has a very high "pucker power" factor on a two lane road around a down slope blind corner......oooooooohhhhh ssssss.........................!!
The Dallas crowd will most likely get in sometime around 3:00 pm or so which is too late for the treck, but I think you have some Houston boys quite familiar with this fun run!
If you make this drive I know you will have a blast!! My son & I did this about three years ago when Tech played Texas in Austin.
We will see you Friday afternoon.
