Austin event video coverage
Can't find a thread on this, so I'll start one...
We should better coordinate the video tape creation (unlike last year). I don't mind being in charge of creating an event video from multiple pieces that others have, but first I need to know who is planning to video-record anything. I know a guy who is a professional producer/director out of houston. I've worked with him over the past year on a DVD that we did for one of our artists. he actually loves cobras, and used Ren Man's cobra for a shoot this past summer for the Video. I can contact him, and see if he's interested.

I was avoiding the pro thing, but sure, let's see what he thinks he can do for us.

db? is Don Barnes. Don had/ has the VERY large trailer, last year. Jim had one mounted on his roll bar at our monthly meet. I do not know how it turned out. Jim will post though, you can count on him. Ferrari Killer Steve Parks |

Doh! I met/know Don, met/know his trailer (drool!), and his Cobra with the 2 roll bars. Just didn't know the CC handle.

posted, both of us plan to shoot video from our cars. I tested a roll bar mount at our last monthly meeting and the video came out terrific, so I plan on using it this week end. We may try some other application as well. Anyway, count on having some video this year for sure. By the way, I never saw last years version. Who has it?

Last year, Tony & I had cruise coverage from the in-car camera, the origin meet and Joe's place (Tony's camera). Ed also had some video, and Jeff B allegedly had a roll-bar mounted pencil camera, but I never saw that. I was going to put a video together, but job hassles (none) kinda swallowed that plan. Then Ed thought about doing it, but that never materialized either.
I figure that if I state here in a public forum, that I will create the video, then I will actually do it this year. I just hate breaking promises when others are noticing. :LOL: Cheers, -Neil. |
Neil, I have a DVD recorder if you want we can work together on it. I also have both a 1394 and analog capture card.
