ERA FIA's in Houston ?

I posted this on the ERA forum but I thought I'd ask here. I'm looking for someone in the Houston area with an ERA FIA that would be willing to show me their car. I'd like to see one in person before I make a decision. Thanks

How about Roy Allen over in New Braufels - big time ERA builder/racer, first a 427 and now an FIA. Really nice guy to talk to although I've never met him. He's the one who suggested Harold Hutton in Magnolia as the best FE builders around anywhere.

Say, n79, how can I contact Harold Hutton? Good FE guys in the area are hard to find!

Another fantastic FE builder is Sonny Hall in Sweeny. Sonny and his sons hold all the records drag racing Mustangs with 428 Cobra Jets. He has refined the 428 design to a razor's edge. Hall Machine (979) 548-2772 at his G&S Parts store, or (979) 548-3450 at his engine shop. Sweeny is southwest of Houston in Brazoria county.

We had an ERA 289FIA (and now a new club member!) show up at our last SCAT club meeting here in Dallas/Ft. Worth. I took tons of pictures and interviewed the owner for our next newsletter. He is a SUPER nice guy that lives in both Dallas, Texas and North Carolina. He will be keeping the ERA 289FIA in north Texas during the winter months and in NC during the summer.

If you are a member of SCAT (Shelby Cobra Association of Texas - www.scatracks.org ) the car will be featured in the April 2003 newsletter, and will then be on the web site a month later.

I will upload a picture tonight when I get home ---

While I am not in the Houston area, my ERA 289 FIA turnkey car is in Dallas at this time. I plan for it to remain here until sometime this summer. If you are planning a trip to this area anytime in the meantime and subject to my availability, I would be happy to show you my car and answer any questions that you might have.

Ken, you can reach Harold Hutton at 281-356-3713, which is greater metropolitan Magnolia, TX. He'll be very glad to talk to you I'm sure and you gotta visit his place, some really exotic engines being built there. He claims to have built more FE's than any one in the country although I didn't pin him down on what he meant about the country. At any rate he's built a lot of them for a lot of years. Allen

Jim W and n79, thanks for the motor info...I'll check 'em out (if my bank account will allow it!).
Greater metropolitan Magnolia, TX...Isn't Houston a suburb of Magnolia? LOL

Beautiful car, Ted! Are those PS Engineering FIA wheels, or is Trigo actually selling them now, too?

Bob
