four cobras and a mustang
hey guys
well, the corpus bunch finally had a weekend out. the first car night at a local drive in burger place attracted over 60 cars, even if the weather was a little on the nippy side-at least for us here in south texas. not being biased, but the main attraction were the cobras. we had 4 plus my wife's 65 mustang. in attendance were ken smith in his gorgeous blue 66 era, jack mckenzie in his 66 red shell valley, wayne serpa in his black 66 ff, yours truley in my 65 viking blue lone star, and of course my wife judy in her rangoon red 65 mustang. we created a lot of attention when the cobras were fired up. had a beautiful day for a cruise on sunday and were able to get some nice pictures of ken, jack, and my cobra's. they were taken in front of the lexingotn memorial. being computer challenged i'm hoping that ken can post the pictures. in this time of war, they seem somewhat patriotic. enjoy. paul |

Very nice pictures Ken. I wish I was there! Maybe we can come cruise with y'all this summer sometime. Paul, glad the Cobra is back on the road. (Maybe we can get pictures of a few Cobra burnouts in front of the Lexington next time!)

Now David, that's a heckuva idea! We'd better clear it with the local gestapo...no, not German...er, gendarmes? No, that's French...er, policia, yeah, before we do the burnouts, 'cause after the cruise Jack gave me a ride and when we got back to his house...I got out of the car and left him with one of Corpus Christi's finest that had followed us back to his place (turned out to be a really good cop, car nut and all, no ticket for Jack). Paul is the planner, but let's plan on something this summer. I wanted to make it to Waco, but I don't think I'll be able to go...y'all have fun!
