Quick insurance decision needed...

State Farm finally got back to me with an insurance quote for my Cobra, which I asked for to try and consolidate all my coverages. But not sure who to go with ...

State Farm advantages:
+ Consolidate all insurances.
+ Should be mileage-free coverage (still waiting on answer).
+ Payable every 6 months.

Hagerty advantages:
+ $100 cheaper (though payable up front).

The coverage expired on Friday, so not sure I have time to go haggling with other companies now... would be nice to have an answer/thoughts for this for now.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Neil ~ I just changed from Condon & Skelly to State Farm a few minutes ago. $55,000.00 agreed value/$250 deduct/100/300/100
for $80.00 a half. The agent told me that there is an unwritten mileage limit of 2,000 miles a year which should not be a problem since the car sits all winter.

How the heck could they have an "unwritten milage limit"?

I went with State Farm. Don't remember what the price was but it was reasonable with no mileage limit. Just do not drive Cobra to work regularly. (Of course I haven't been known for working regularly anyway!)

Well, I wasn't offered a mileage-limited option, but looks like it's $50 more for the first 6 months, then $10 LESS for each month after that. I think I'll go state farm. Thanks guys.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Tony, in a Cobra accident, the real question is whether I should get auto insurance or life insurance?

-Neil.
