T-shirt makers

Anyone know where we get club t-shirts made, and/or any other details pertaining to these? One of the other car-clubs I'm in (Audi) is looking to have a show and I'm trying to see if it's viable to get event shirts made up, so any sources appreciated. You can reach me at cobradude [at] narwani [dot] org .

Cheers,
-Neil.

We used a guy in San Marcos for printing the most recent set of shirts...his artist sucks though. I believe james baldwin designed the main TCC logo which is used on the shirt. The old TCC shirt was designed by some other printer and they own the design. I do all our artwork for our custom shirts..."Is it Real?" and the Crawfish Boil. What kind of shirt design are you looking for?

Ryan,

Thinking of something very similar ... a "cartoon-type" drawing of a car with some assorted wording. Artwork no problem, as we'll do that ourselves. Could you forward me any contact/other info?

Thanks,
-Neil.

James,

Hoping to keep it local (Austin-ish) so I can see/feel the material beforehand. I've had some bad experiences with promotional shirts (corporate) in the past -- the material was really thin/cheap and embarrasing for corporate use, so had to get others made.

Thanks,
-Neil.

I know how that goes.....

They always mess with the artwork too...i don't trust them!

I completely agree. Just wanted to pass it on as a contingency plan.

Make sure you spec the wieght of the T-shirts ( i.e. Fruit of the Loom Lofteez , 6 oz. - 100% cotton, etc...).

I have seen companies use what they call a "heavy weight" tee only to get the sirts and they were 4.5 oz. 50/50 blends.. Good to look at them first.

A friend of mine operates a great shirt operation in Houston. They are top quality in every respect. Call Mike or Audrey Devenport at Trademarks 713 680-3000 and tell them Jim sent you. Sounds like a speakeasy operation.
