We usually don't come through OK City up 75/69 to the turn off for Tulsa...Gary Morris, Tim Black and myself will be there on Tuesday morning...I plan to arrive before noon and stake out our area...we have to fight off the natives...gets interesting sometime.

Your welcome to meet us there and hang out in the parking lot..

Matt

Hey Ted,

I'm up in OKC (actually Moore) quite a bit since my parents live there. Went to the 49ers Car show in Norman eariler this month and met a couple of Cobra guys.

I'll drop you a line next time I am up that way. It would be great to meet you.

Stretch - good to hear from you. If you decide to do any PDR work in Dallas, put my Jeep on the list and let me know time/place. My house was on the southern edge of the hail storm, but still beat the hail out of the top/hood.:(

Wish I could tell you. Since I've been back in Austin for a month or so, I've not actually seen the car.  Been busy trying to get my own life/biz in order, and I may have to put it up for sale soon. But I've been staying in touch (barely) at the meet/lunches since they only take a couple hours every month.

Hope to see you around soon.

Cheers,
-Neil.

Hail work in Dallas

Hey Dallas Guys and Gals,

Jay, being the nice and generous person that he is, has offered to put me up (or is it "put up with me"? ) AND he's going to give my partner and I shop space to do PDR!!!! For the first weekend, we'll be arriving Saturday morning, the 31st of May and staying until Tuesday June 3rd. In that time, we can probably handle 3 cars. Jay has two that he needs work on so I've got room for one more next weekend. After that, our schedule is wide open.

We're going to try and come up to Dallas every other or third weekend to work on cars. I'll have to check with Jay about the availability of his shop on those weekends, but if Jay is out racing his Hot Rods, I'm sure we can find another location.

So far I've got James B. and Dick F. on the list. I'd be happy to work on all TCC vehicles first until they run out. Let me know if you'd like to get on the schedule :) You can email me at dentaway@sbcglobal.net and I'll get back with you on a time and place for us to repair your vehicle.

Helpfull Hint: PDR is catching on with insurance adjusters because it can save them lots of money. However, many of them are underestimating hail repairs because they are in a hurry. Most hail damaged cars have at least 150 dents and can have as many as 400. In fact, Bill and I have repaired Suburbans with well over 400 dents. Usually, anything above 400 and it's just as cost effective to replace and paint the panels. Anyway claims adjusters often don't take the time to count dents...or they are simply not experienced enough to see the dents. Just so you know, the going rate for hail damage repair is about $10, for up to 200 dents, and about $9 per dent for anything over 200. You could probably get a better deal from the "Tent Gypsies" that you see on the side of the road but they wont do a thorough job and you'll never see them again.

Good luck and can't wait to see you guys :)

Charmer
