Trying to get my summer trips planned. Are you guys going to Mid America this year? Missed it in 02, not sure I could miss two in a row. Especially if TCC folks are doing a throw down.

I do know the TCC is planning to be in Tulsa at the Mid American again, and a bunch have already registered. I, however, will be in Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico on a 10 day treck with my son and our Boy Scout troop. I will miss all you guys, but there is always next year for Tulsa and this is my only chance to do this with John. Y'all have fun, & I will have to wait 'till next year for Tulsa. John Russell |

Seriously, if these two events did not fall on the same weekend, do you think some of the Cobra folks would attend the Fling that might not otherwise? How many Cobras would you say attend? Thanks Rick |
Its a possibility Rick...Jay and Keith went to the fling last year dont' know about this year....This is an event that has been going on for 25 years....we turn it into a full week...watching the racing for 2 days at Hallet...the cruise to sonic...banquet...drag racing and car show....
We have a great time...golf carts and margarita machines...we have one hell of a party...We probably have about 12 of us that go every year and it changes sometimes... Its really neat that we have turned our corner into Cobra Corner ....last year the 2000,3000 series almost outnumbered us...ever been for a full out ride in a 289 comp car...I HAVE :) what a freakin rush...great people and lots of fun...and most of all only 4 hours away Oh yea and Ryan the speaker this year is well known...maybe Morris will tell us who it is :) Matt |
Competition
We have the Vintage Car races here the very same week end. I think that hurts some as well. Maybe next year we should consider a different month!
