Keith Craft
Is the Keith Craft location of the June 7 TCC meeting affiliated with the Keith Craft in Arkadelphia, Arkansas? What is the phone # of the local Keith Craft? I probably have to work Saturday but would like to go by for a look and a chat.
Thanks, Jack T. FFR Spec Racer |
Yes the shop in Dallas is a joint venture between Drew Baird and Keith from Arkadelphia. I am sure Drew will be happy to post the phone number...I don't have it yet since the store just opened.

Plano,Texas 75075 972-578-3550 Fax 972-578-3554 It is just north of 15th st. on the west side of Central on the frontage road. It is a really nice shop with a new Dynojet Chassis Dyno. Drew gave the dyno a work out with a couple of the Cobras. :3DSMILE: Drew, thanks for inviting us all over for the tour and some dyno time. My son and I really enjoyed it.:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: |
Thank You all for coming to our lun and for your appearance and patronage at the shop. Keith and I really appreciate you guys and really look forward to spending more time with you in the future. Keith sends his apologies to those who he couldn't spend more time with, he said he hoped he hadn't offended anyone. We were a little busy there at one point and we probably didn't get to everyones questions. Dyno ran great, we ended up doing 20 cars by 8:00 last night. Thanks again, Drew

This was a really great day!
Started with a nice lunch with huge turnout and then over to Keith Craft Motorsports for some Dyno testing plus good old car gabbing.......... Thanks to Drew and Keith for opening this great shop! |
It was really cool to see everyone roaming around telling Drew he needs a cold drink machine. I'm sure he really appreciated hearing that 20 or so times. ;)
And it was great to have people from all over make it, including the gentleman from Michigan (didn't catch his name). Maybe he'll have his Cobra dyno'd when he comes back down for the annual event next Feb. Mrs. 66 Snake |
John, I think the number was 384 but did not get a printout and you know how it is with old age!! Very lean condition, above 15, thru entire test. Drew had his wife bring up the community jet box and with Gary Sharapata's hands and some of Matt and Drew's tools we changed the primary jet to 78 and secondary to 82. Power valve was a 6.5 and was in good shape. Did not have time to pull a third time as they were getting backed up and I wanted everyone to get their chance. The car was totally different on the way home!!! Ran like it had a different motor in it. Funny how much a little change can effect the performance! I am really anxious to get it back on the dyno and see how much improvement there is, both hp and a/f ratio. Thanks to all who helped and to Kieth for the jetting suggestions. A special thanks to Jay for not having the guts to go over 4000rpm on the second pull. With the lean condition it probably saved me some parts!!!! Just kidding on the Guts thing spineless, I mean Jay.
