Charlie's Angels Sequal
I happen to see a Charlie's Angels sequal trailer today and they got a blue/white Shelby Cobra in the film (just like my FFR).
http://www.apple.com/trailers/columb...ailer_med.html That Cobra is flying in the air, I wonder how many body parts are left on the landing? |
Did you see the ads for Bad Boys II? No Cobra! Arrrggghhh!!!!
|
They purchased 5 Cobras from Shell Valley. Cars originally made for 2 Fast 2 Furious. Dana from Shell Valley said all the cars destroyed during the making of the movie. Still will have to see movie soon as it comes out.

Bad Boys (1) had a realistic race with the Cobra sliding into a cement wall.
Charlie's Angels sequal has a Cobra flipping in mid air. I can't vision a Cobra excaping without total dammage and/or death to the driver and passenger. Gone in Sixty Seconds had a Mustang flying straight over another car which was hard to believe. I got the original H.B. Halicki's Gone in Sixty Seconds movie made with real stunts (93 cars destroyed in a 40 minute chase scene) and the Mustang was beat up badly. Steve McQueen's Mustang in Bullitt was a realistic car chase. Bottom line CGI is getting out of hand with realism. |
CGI chase scenes
Ed... I agree completely ..
When I watched the Nick Cage "Gone in 60 Seconds" and saw Cage stop the GT500 CLONE on the suspension bridge, look at the wrecker with the two loading tracks pointed skywards, and then start to back up the GT500 CLONE I thought "uh oh..." then I witnessed that dreadful CGI special effect of the GT500 CLONE flying through the air for hundreds of feet and land with "minimal" damage, I very loudly proclaimed "OH BROTHER.." in the theater. I just felt like I had been cheated out of two hours, and $6.50. I guess I was expecting "Gumball Rally" again, which is impossible. Those movies will never be made again. As far as 2Fast2Stupid, I would not even waist one wooden nickel on that P.O.S. THANK GOD they opted out of using the Cobra replicas in that movie. It was bad enough that they smooched a Mustang Saleen to pieces under 18-wheeler tanker tires (saw that in a preview trailer for 2Fast2F#ckedUp at another movie). Unfortunately my son Nick did not get his 2F2F'up vaccination, went and saw it with friends, came home and immediately proclaimed that he wanted a Nissan Skyline GTR.... I'm sending him to a recovery clinic to get "deprogrammed" this weekend...   Oh yea.. one more CRAPPY ASS movie that I waisted time and money on was "Yo Adrian!" Stallone in "Driven". The CGI animated racing and crashes in that P.O.S. almost made me "Driven" right out the exits before it ended!!! AAArrrrgghhH!!! Everyone should go out and buy DVDs or VHS tapes of Grand Prix, Le Mans, Bullitt, French Connection, Gumball Rally, even Ronin, because we will never see realistic car chase or races in new movies again.... |
I like the F&F movies and recently watched the second one. I have no problem realizing the difference between reality and fantasy (well,,,,except in the bedroom maybe, but thats a different story).
What I DID like about both movies was: They START the movie with "imports" and in both cases they END the movie with classic American Muscle. ......and those neon lights under the imports are really cool man, I think I'll get some for the Cobra. (NOT)!!!! Ernie |
