Another Cobra
Just got word that Harold my new Finance agent is getting his Boss to being out his Contempuary Cobra 427 side oilier to the
Austin meet watch for him ok . No word from the S. A. bunch ... Big T  |
Great Turn Out!
Well we didn't expect a large turnout today. We got tables for seven and had to expand to eighteen. We got two visitors from Houston, and four from the DFW area. Greg & Vicky and Tom & Marla were the surprise attendies.
Tony has the ball for August and September. |
Wow
Great turn out !New members and some of the crazy Dallas gang
good to see some old members Cobra Dude and his Cobra Gernhart with his Cobra Shirt { Very Nice } Let me know when you are coming this way or at the next meet I want to buy one of those shirts . Good To meet Jerry & G Big T :3DSMILE: |
Yes, it was a great day! Great view and the food was certainly an improvement over what the Oasis used to offer. Good choice, Ed. The only problem with that sort of thing when lots of people show up, is that you're kind of anchored at the table where you're eating. I didn't have a chance to chat with some at the other tables like I would have liked. Well, next time.
Tony, I'm gonna take you up on all your offers. What a neat family you have! Gerhardt |
Gerhardt; We could plan better and get tables set up. The only problem is that the Austin bunch don't communicate very well.
Austin; The bottom line is that if anyone plans to come to a monthly meet, SPEAK UP! Resturants can only do so much on a short notice. %/ Observation; The weird thing is that many Austin members are logging on the TCC forum, but they seem to be mute or that their keyboard send button is broke. |
Hey Ed,
In some cases, someone may be logged in, but not reading the posts. Like me. I log in, glimpse at the subjects quickly (or not if I have to wait for it to load), then run off doing something else (another browser for example). Weeks later, I could still be logged in, as I usually have a couple dozen browser windows open, and never shut down my computers. Guess I'm messing with the purpose of the "users browsing this forum" functionality. Cheers, -Neil. |
Friendship and Common Bond
Neil; What I observe is Austin members logging on for a few minutes and then logging off. I guess they are interested in seeing what's going on in the TCC, but don't want to communicate on the forum. If your logged in, it only takes a few minutes to say "Hi!".
I can name at least 10 Austin members who we haven't heard from since the 2002 Spring Meet. We don't know if they are alive or dead, moved, sold their Cobras, devorced, lost interest in the club, etc.. I know the high tech bust hit Austin hard and lot of folks lost their jobs (including myself). I know times are tough, but anyone can say "Hi", and let us know what's happening. That's what the TCC is all about, friendship and a common bond in Cobras. |
OK,Ok.. Hi, Ed!!
Ed & the bunch in Austin..
HI !! I just read through your thread, & since a few of my Dallas crowd of Cobraphiles crashed the party I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you like the rest of the Austin bunch has been....
