Hot Laps
Guys and Ladies, Starting this weekend we are kicking off the "Hot Laps" program that all you guys registered for back in the spring at the open house at the Panoz Racing School shop. Everyone is invited to come out to TMS on Saturday July 12 & 13 for a FREE ride in one of our Panoz GT-RA race cars. All you need to do is call me an schedule the ride. Now that I have my "start time" of 9:00am Sunday, uh....... Where do we start? At your Panoz headquarters, on the infield at the track, over at the hotel across the street??? Don....Susan is signed up for Sunday @ 9:00. She probably didn't mentioned that I was comming with her.....she probably would like to have MY hot laps as well. I fixed her up a few years ago during one of our events at Motorsport Ranch where she rode with a friend of ours with a race prepped Cobra R. I arranged it as a joke and told Kevin to wring it out.....She came back with this big $@it eating grin on her face saying " I wanna go again" so I'm hoping YOU can help her find "the Drew effect". Looking forward to it. see you Sunday

Thanks fo putting on the hot laps event. All of us had a blast, & I am not sure which of my children enjoyed it the most. Gary, thanks for taking pictures for me, and you really got a great close up of John's smile in his helmet! I do know that Lyndsie can't wait for her Audi Teen Driving experience next weekend. The Russell Family ps. Gary, I am going to e-mail you a picture I took of you & Susan on the very cool Panoz Driving suits. |
Wow! Sounds like I missed a blast. Worst is that I had to endure the torture of passing by it several times to and from Justin. Hope I can make the next one.

Can you believe it, Don actually let me drive one of his cars.
After taking my two free laps I signed up for the GT Driving experience. About an hour of classroom training. 3 or 5 laps in the school van to introduce you to the track and overview of the car and its time to drive. Don was my instructor driving an audi as the pace car in front of me. Each lap we went faster and faster. I swear on the last lap on one of the corners he had the car up on three wheels. What a blast, those panoz cars are great. Thanks Don, I appreciate all the time you spent. John |
Hot Laps
Now I know what you mean "Hot Laps". Ray Russell told me that the track temperature was 110 degrees. By the time you do your two free "Hot Laps" you will loose 10 pounds of water in the fire suit and helemt.:LOL:

None in September but we have a date of October 24 for driving your Cobra at TMS. Thanks, db
