GT40 Line drawing needed.

We're working on the 26th Shelby Texas Nationals T-shirt design and would like to have a old style GT40 design on it. I have looked high and low for a line drawing we might could work with but so far nadda. I got a drawing from Bill Neale which is of the new Ford GT but not quite what I was hoping for. If anyone has anything you think might work or any good artists in the Texas bunch we could use some help. Looking for a, I guess a 3/4 frontal shot og Gt40.....would love a Mark I with the wide fenders but I know I can't be choosy. Any suggestions appreciated as we need to get something to the T-shirt guy pretty soon.

Thanks,
Gary:D

I think that I still have a couple of old SAE papers on the GT40 that were published back in the '60's. They were sent to me by a very kind engineer at Ford when I was working on a paper in grad school.

I'll take a look tonight and let you know. You would probably have to get permission to use the images but the papers might get you in touch with someone who can really help.

...found the papers - They are SAE papers #670065 - The Ford GT Sports Car and #670070 Mark II GT Sports Car Disc Brake System.

There is an excellent rear three-quarter drawing of the Mark II in the first paper - actually a phantom that must have taken months to do, considering that they didn't have CAD back then.

Maybe there is someone out there who can help you with a contact at SAE or Ford to get copies.

I haven't looked at these papers for a very long time and forgot how cool they are. ...ought to be required reading for anyone who has a passion for these cars. ...written in typical engineering style - no fluff or legend, just the facts.

...hope this helps.
