My thoughts, unless someone has a better idea was to drive down to Rough Creek Ranch for a really nice lunch. They serve lunch until about 2:00pm, so if we leave about 10:00-10:30am and cruise down to the ranch that would put us there for a little after 12:00.

I have stayed at the ranch and it is very very nice, they have a beautiful lodge and bar and activities. Rough Creek is located near Glen Rose about 90 miles from the DFW area.

I would like to make reservation for lunch, so if this is something you would like to do, let me know and I will make the reservations.
Thanks, db

Will start from the McArthur & 635 area between 10:00-10:30am on Monday. Haven't picked a route yet, thought we would take some back roads ( if there are any ) down to Glen Rose. Thoughts ??

roughcreek lodge

I've been going to Rough Creek lodge since it opened..I've never driven my car in there.
Has anyone driven into Rough creek on their road with a cobra? Their road would appear to be a little "rough" and possible bottoming would occur..
Any comments??

Don

Don, Your correct, I had forgotten about that, any ideas,Thanks, db

Well, if the road into the Ranch.......

is a little rough for the Cobras, maybe we could still head down that way and just eat somewhere else around Glen Rose. What say you all?

Jim, I called the Lodge and they said it was paved all the way to the lodge but there is a low water crossing. They also said they had Corvettes come there all the time and I asked specifically asked about speed bumps, and they said it was fine, so I really don't know. I think we can try it and if it's to low for my car then we can go back to the Glen Rose area and find something. db

If tomorrow is still a go,considering the latest weather forecast, and there aren't too many protest. My son and I would like to follow along behind in my new daily driver I bought last night.I need to get 1,000 miles on it before I can take it up past 4,000 rpm.
Got a new WRX STi.

Cobra #42 08-31-2003 06:40 AM

Here's the latest plan if the weather is nice we go in the Cobra, if the weather is crappy which is likely, I'm still going down to Rough Creek for a little lunch. But I will be in the F250.

Fred are you going to find some dirt roads to drive on ?? And some jumps like they do on TV ?? We didn't cover that in class but I grew up driving on dirt and crashed a car while jumping. So I guess I can help with that. LOL, db
