Attn: Tony, pictures of my can inside...
can muffler that is, damn you guys need to get your heads out of the gutter!! :3DSMILE:
Ok, first picture is looking into the cone. It is inside a 3" piece of straight exhaust pipe: http://home.austin.rr.com/degs/can-build2.JPG Next, a picture of the pointy end of the cone (technical term): http://home.austin.rr.com/degs/can-build1.JPG Finally, a crappy picture of the finished product before the final clean-up, sanding & coating: http://home.austin.rr.com/degs/can-finished.jpg Mike S. has heard my car at idle and said it is much quieter than the pipes alone. Here is where you can learn more. Good luck! |

got it looks good . Thanks for the info ........ T |
What kind of reduction in dB's are you seeing with the muffler?
|
Ed, you worried about getting a ticket for excessive noise? Looks like a J-pipe ..........is it? With J-pipes they are quite a bit quieter than a 4x4 pipe. Then again on full throttle my car wails too!

No idea how much quieter it is as I built it with these on the car. I guess we'll all just have to compare exhaust noise one of these days.
I'm not worried about a ticket, just like to be able to sneak up on people before I blow their doors off :3DSMILE: ! |
