Terry, this is without a doubt the sweetest little FFR spec racer I have seen!It just screams light and fast, and the paint scheme really pops.I really am in love with the very businesslike interior, the gray seats and matching powdercoat on the rollbar setting things off nicely.About how many hours do you have in this project?Any unforeseen problems in construction, and did you do most yourself? My daughter would love to build one of these with old Dad when she graduates college-I'll have to show her your's. I tried to keep it clean, light and simple...it appears that you think I did!:D

Way too many! With all the fabricating that we did to make my 6'3" 235 lb. body fit and some of the "trick" modifications that we did. About 15 months.

Just a lot of the regular unforseen problems that we thought we hand figured out ahead of time only to find that we hadn't!

Yes with the aid of Bobby Hughes (my next door neighbor EE and wiring ghuru) and George Stephenson (super good friend and world class fabricator) and many of the FFR Cobra guys in the Houston area who through a "Completion Party" for me 2 days before I went into the hospital for major surgery in July.

It would be a great project for the two of you...but be prepared for the "unexpected" as you build it! :D

Terry

Terry,

Very nice.....May you enjoy racing this one as much as you did your old Falcon....

Thanks Bill,

I hope I do too! The Falcon was a blast to race once I got inside the cockpit. It was reasonable fast and extemely forgiving. I'm not sure how the spec racer is going to stack up against it, but it should be faster and more exciting to drive. It's definitely prettier! :D

Regards,

Terry

Ryan,

Did you ever decide if you are going to build a spec racer so you can come "play" with us next year?

I'm looking forward to meeting you in person soon. :)

Terry
