Houston December Meet
The 2nd Saturday of the month is coming up. This month, we're meeting at 59 Diner on I-10. Let's show up about 10:30 for the best parking spots.

It was pouring down rain at my house when we were ready to leave...so I will not be bringing FFR#3645SP out to the meeting after all today! :mad:

One of the guys at the meeting this morning was wanting to know where to get old texas license plates. This site replicates 60's plates and you can give them your current license plate number and get it put on what ever year you want. I had one done for a 65 and it looks great.

If you go to the FAQ section on that website,you'll find that those plates are not legal to use on the street. For show only.
You could get one hefty ticket driving around with fake plates. You have to find "state issued" plates in good shape and take them down and have them appoved by the DMV. AND they have to match the year of the vehicle,not the year it replicates. |

We had a pretty good showing today. There were 5 or 6 Cobras and a Mustang Fastback. Notice in the picture there was Water on the ground. As far as I could tell, none of the Cobras received any damage from being this close to water. Great seeing everyone there.

Nice to see a turn out on a day like today. Doc has me laied up on meds. Wrenched my back and was told to stay in bed this weekend and give the meds a chance to work. Given that it's my lower back I figured I should listen to the doc.

Great meet yesterday, considering the weather! Enjoyed meeting all the new folks...wait a minute, I guess I'm a newbie too, now that I'm back in Houston.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in January. Sorry I had to cut out early, did you get a chance to discuss plans for the trip to Austin? |
