Yes Dennis, you read right.....ORANGE WITH BIG WHITE STRIPES:p :p :p

The guys have all promised me that they are going to save me a spot right next to you:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

And I'm mounting my turn signals on the ends of the 5' horns

CobERA 01-05-2004 06:27 PM

Kelly,

That's great news about your car! Can't wait to see it. What is your estimated completion date?

kountzecobra 01-05-2004 06:27 PM

Dennis, you should be proud to park next to orange and white. You have to realize that if it weren't for the OTHER universities in Texas, A&M would not have had the ambition and drive to rise above the others intellectually, academically, and philosophically. (Lord knows A&M's football team didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of doing it!) :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

Dennis Mosley 01-05-2004 08:25 PM

Kelly,

just so you know what you will be driving, here is a picture of my car which our dear freind Dick F:) had a hand in shall we say "customizing".

Now are you sure this is what you want to do:confused: :JEKYLHYDE **)

David, thanks for pointing out the error in my thinking.%/ %/ %/

bittentoo 01-06-2004 08:25 AM

Dennis, Your car look great:D :D :D

Finally ditched the maroon and white!

Who was the painter:p :p :p

Pete Gibbs 01-06-2004 03:43 PM

Dennis, now you've got it! Splendid, magnificent paint job! Say, David's looking to paint his car. Maybe you could paint his the same as yours. You sure would make a cute couple driving into Austin for the big meet. Sincerely,Pete.

Pete Gibbs 01-08-2004 07:50 AM

Seems the rain gods are frowning on our activity once again. At lunch I will don a loin cloth and dance wildly around a Cobra for an hour or so. Maybe rattle a few bones or sticks or something. I've had pretty good luck with this technique in the past driving off bill collectors and other assorted demons so we'll see. Feel free to join in but don't attempt this in a public place as posting bail is more than you'd think for this type of activity. Anyway should be clear by Satuday. Pete.

Dennis Mosley 01-08-2004 09:11 AM

Pete has very understanding neighbors%/ %/ %/

I

Guys,

Saturday mornings are always a bit of a challenge for me as I typically ride my bike first thing in the morning and play 0-100, or other associated wheelspin games during the afternoon.

Nonetheless, I will try and at least show up at late providing everyone isn't wearing loin cloths conducting anti-rain dances.

I am hoping to beat last year's record of showing up only once to a Houston meet with my cobra and arriving last, but kindly being allowed to double park.

Any chances we can schedule an afternoon meet, or evening cruise this year?

JC

Dennis Mosley 01-08-2004 10:02 AM

JC,

The planning is open to everyone.

If you would like to put something together for an evening or something, let her rip!

Just post what you want to do both here and on the yahoo group and LET THE CRUISING BEGIN!!!

kountzecobra 01-08-2004 06:57 PM

Pete, sometimes I worry about you! At least wearing a loincloth is better than NOT!

It must have worked since the rain has stopped here! (I'll probably have nightmares tonight!):JEKYLHYDE

Anybody want to cruise a little after the meeting this Saturday?

kountzecobra 01-09-2004 09:02 PM

OK, the weather looks good for Saturday. It might be a little cool early, so all you girls dress warm and get those Cobras on the road! :3DSMILE: I don't know about y'all, but my Cobra feels a little neglected, its been 5 days since its been on the road! See y'all at Joe's! (Thank goodness it will be too damn cold for Pete to wear his loincloth!)

scr11 01-09-2004 09:20 PM

We'll be there, however sans Cobra. My 2 year old MSD cap and rotor are fried. I need to see if I can find one in town or if I need to order it from Summit.
See you guys around 10:30am.

Scott, SPF#1230

Mike Jones 01-09-2004 10:44 PM

Scott
For MSD parts in stock and in town try Clear Lake Speed Center in Webster ( I-45 and Bay Area Blvd.) They carry Lots of MSD parts. For a small shop I still can't believe how much they have in inventory of speed parts. Ask for Lindley or his wife Sheila they are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Clear Lake Speed Center
111 Bay Area Blvd
Webster, TX 77589
281-332-1092 or 281-488-0371

See you at the meeting.

Mike

scr11 01-10-2004 08:03 AM

Thanks for the idea Mike. I just went over to O'reilly auto. I gave them the part numbers and they found them in town. I'll pick up the cap and rotor around 4:30 today at the store. They even matched Summit pricing! I'm impressed!

We had a quality meeting today despite cool temps. I think 6 Cobras attended with several more folks in their street cars. After dining, some of us went to a local shop and drooled over an original slabside Cobra undergoing a complete restoration. Very very cool! Dennis ran out of battery and I ran out of gas. (Gotta replace that damn sending unit!)

Dennis Mosley 01-10-2004 06:02 PM

Good to see everyone today! Thanks to Pete for his loincloth dance that gave us good weather (and for him not brining it to the meeting) and a Big thanks to Craig for setting up the viewing of the original Cobra for the group.

Glad to hear you made it home David. My car likes the new battery.

tcolley1 01-10-2004 09:25 PM

Missed the meeting because...

Well I tried for the 2nd month in a row to make the meeting with my NEW car. :)

Today we got about 1/3 of the way there when I lost 5th gear.

Had to limp back to the house and try and figure out why my newly rebuilt transmission dropped 5th gear the first time I used it.

Now I have to pull the tranny to get inside and see what is going on!

Oh well there is next month!

Terry

If it's not BLACK it's not BAD!

Bittentoo, I know who you are! What's up with this Lesbian thing?

bittentoo 01-12-2004 12:38 PM

89 Blackhawk

Do you remember when your Dad explained the birds and the bees to you........

You had better come to grips with your inner self and admit that you too are a Lesbian :p

Go now, Grasshopper.........

And......Dennis feels a lot better about the color of my car with the revelation that it is "Hooters orange and white":D
