Pic Of My New Cobra

Finally got some pics of my new SPF # 1543 in my Gallery!

Thankyou Mr. Ray Russell for taking these at the Cobra lunch last Saturday. Cloudy but at least it was 75% outside. Drag Radials work great!

Stunning car, Gary. The wheels look tremendous against the black paint, and I love the fact that they are 15 inchers, too. I wish I could fit that much rubber under my Lister--

Gary:
Do you know what the color of the stripes are, either common name/manufacturer or paint code?

Gary,

Very.very, nice.

The chrome wheels look spectacular with your paint scheme.

I have the chromed SPF wheels also and they always attract attention from both Cobra owners and people in general.

Don C.

Don't know the color other than SPF uses alot of PPG. Contact Doug Reed at ReedCobra@aol.com and he should beable to get it for you.

Love the color of you SPF and the Chrome Wheels do look great. What color is that and do you have a 427 in it or 428, or Stroker?

Gary,

My car is Sunset Red with Titanium Stripes. It's a 428 FE built by John Vermeersch at Total Performance. It's set up for the street and puts out about 450 HP and 450 Ft lbs of torque...It's a stump puller out of the hole but it's not the beast that yours must be!

Unique color combo!

Awesome looking car, Gary. I love the pin striping too. And I love the 325/15's. I don't think there is a better looking wheel/tire combo, except for maybe the original big-letter Goodyears.

See you in Feb.

Terry,

Nice color combination on your factory racer. I love the white car with the blue and red stripes..........

Charmer,

Glad to hear from you! Yes the 325/15 are truly awesome and thanks for the recommendation. Prior to getting a few pics of my car with the drag radials I was sending pics of your red car to many SPF owners who wanted to see the tires.

Any Cobras in you future

Snakecharmer 01-16-2004 08:49 AM

Hi Gary,

Can't wait to see you! Hope things are going well for you. I take it that a new cobra in your family means better times for you. That's great. I'm a ways off from another Cobra but, YES, there is one in my future!! In fact, I'm just bringing the side-oiler home from the shop today. It's in the back of my truck waiting to be unloaded as I type this. I'm thinking about building a "run" stand for it so I can fire it up and at least get my noise fix :3DSMILE:

Can't wait to see and hear your new baby at the Feb meet. I'm hoping Ted Parrish is able to come down with my old car and our old trailer. He's a great guy and will fit right in with the group.

As for seeing my old car again, well, you might have to haul me off in a straight jacket, but it'll be worth it!:JEKYLHYDE :JEKYLHYDE

Take care,

Charmer

Charmer,

Yes Ford Motor Company is back and going in the right direction. Sold my stock that I bought with the last Cobra proceeds and built this one. Not sure that was a great idea, as I love the car, but if I would of held the stock 7 more months the additional profit, I would of made, would almost of paid for the car! Ouch!!!!!!

Next concern is College..........Son going to Texas Tech and my daughter just got accepted at Oklahoma starting in the fall. If we don't get back into bonuses I may in fact be selling this one but there will be another Cobra again!

See you in Austin and I'll take ya for a blast!

Snakecharmer 01-22-2004 11:21 AM

I'd love to go for a ride, thanks buddy! Glad to here that Ford is doing better. The auto companies are still have trouble selling cars here in Austin. Austin's economy is still suffering. No more major layoffs, that I'm aware of, but still no hirings of any sizeable amount. I hear Houston is doing much better as well so it's only a matter of time for Austin.

See you soon,

Charmer
