Name this person at TCC ?????

I was looking at the whiteCAV GT40 and started talking with the owner and some other guy. We were talking abot ZF transaxles. This "other guy" was looking for someone to mess with the transaxle in his 72'Pantera. I knew just the right person he was looking for. He gave me his #. But now I can't find it. This gentleman looks about 40. Light brown hair and glasses. He said he was in the software business and is out of town alot. He also said he lived in the hill country out of Austin. He has a small bridgeport mill in his shop and is also looking for a small lathe. I say this in a good way- He kinda looks like John Denver. If anyone could help me find this guys name it would be great.
Does anyone know the the owner of the GT40 or maybe a address of a Pantera forum?

Mike, I'm the owner of the white GTD. I know the guy of whom you're speaking--I talked to him for a couple of minutes but in all the commotion I never caught his name. Sorry--if I think of any clues that might help track him down I'll let you know--

nevermind...

snakeeyes 03-01-2004 08:43 AM

Ryan, I think Mike was actually looking for the Pantera owner from Austin who was checking out my GT40. He had a bit of the "John Denver" thing going on, as well, and had a ponytail if I recall correctly.

Richard, I think you're thinking of another "Bob"--Taulbee perhaps? My JCF has no sidepipes and my GT40 has silver jethot-coated headers...

The John Denver wannabes name is Jack Wild. His # is 512-924-WILD [9453] or or 264-9453. I was there with him at the resturant. He does have a very sweet Pantera that is apart now. You need to bug him about getting it going =]

Fantastic bunch of cars!! Esp the Gt40.

Moterhead, thanks for the response! This site is great--put up a post that basically describes someone as "the John Denver-looking guy with a Pantera", and a few hours later you have a name and phone number!

Glad you guys could make it out Saturday--hope we see ya'll next year. We've never had a Pantera at our Austin event so maybe in 2005...

There is a pretty big group of people that meet in round rock every saturday night. It is in the parking lot of RPM Raceway go-kart track. It is a huge lot next to Burger King on I-35 between exit 250 & 251.
