Cable repair ????
 
Does anyone know of a tool that can be bought to crimp an end on a emergency cable need to swith the end that goes to the rear brake .The cables I have are for disc brakes and I have drum.
Or what abought just bolting on some disc brakes on my 8:8 just something cheap .I already have an adjustable MC ?

Tony,
You should check out a 'ships store' or a yachting place that sells and/or repairs sailboat rigging. Lots of cable in the stays and shrouds and some of the running lines as well.

There is a tool,about the size and weight of a bolt cutter that is the crimping tool for cable.The crimps come in all sizes.

It is a must have tool on sailboats that actually go anywhere.

Dennis M. is on the coast with a boat.Wouldn't surprise me if he knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Check with an aircraft maintenance company, all aircraft control have the ends swedged on.
