Keith Craft Plano, Tx shop service
I went by Keith Craft this afternoon to look at Don Smith's car with the small block aluminum 427 engine that Keith Craft built for him. On the way over my car was running very rough. When I told Drew and Rob they dropped what they were doing and started to find the problem. When the discovered it was a carb problem on one that I had bought from them the took it off and installed a new one on the spot for no charge. I know of no other shop that would stop what they are doing to fix my car without having a appointment and then put a new carb on and warranty it. Rob has worked on 17 different cobras in a short peroid of time. I highly recommend them.

The New England Cobra Enthusiasts appreciate this input. Can somebody leave Boston and make it back in a day for a tune up at this shop? :D

Sound's like a ROAD trip to me!! ;)
Boston is in East Texas isn't it?? The Royal Rhubarb :p |
Don, The stainless steel work in the engine compartment looked great. I liked how they mounted your seat belts through the holes and all the hardware is in the truck. Drew gave me a treat when he fired up the black bdr that is in their showroom that they just bulit the motor for. It sounded awesome!!! See you on the road soon. Thanks, Todd

I checked that car out a couple weeks ago. They said they were aiming for 500 HP. Have they dynoed it yet?
I noticed they had to grind a bit off the left front corner bolt head, to get the blower to fit under the hood (think they took a bit of glass off the hood too). Still a real neat installation. It was the first time I'd ever gotten a peek under the hood of a Cobra. TC: It took me four days to drive from Walpole to Plano last May, but that was in a Subaru loaded with luggage and other junk from the move. Edit: It looks like the car I saw a few weeks ago wasn't one of the cars in there today. That one was green, with a low-profile blower and an oversize hood scoop. |
