Is this a for profit organization or what? I never heard of the pull of donations, just thought by looking at paying vendors such as these it was a for profit organization

If you don't want to pay to read, that is OK too. They are always available at the library or a friend may pay for his and let you borrow it

Best of both worlds. You get the same use and you didn't have to pay!

By the time he pays for the servers and the hosting and all the other crap most of us don't know enough about, I suppose he may be averaging somewhere around .17 cents an hour...

Yes This is probably a for profit operation. Unfortunately he is not about to give up his day time job yet.

So we donate to supplement the income he derives from the advertisers above..

I don't see what the issue is if this is a for profit venture or not.

I deal happily with many places that are profitable and I am glad of it. I figure that if they aren't making any money they might not be around to serve my needs.
