Autorox awards on Spike TV
Is anyone else watching this tonite? I'm taping it because Alan is working yet AGAIN. :rolleyes:

I did like Shelby's speech. So many times he seems very PRish and less "real." This wasn't like that.
And yeah, the Corvette was such a lame ending. Of course that's what you get when you have a bunch of 22 yo single guys with their first jobs doing all the voting. ;) |
Other than Shelby's acceptance speech, the show was incredibly boring. Shelby said something like I don't know what the h*** an icon is but I'll take the award. I turned the show off after the Shelby speech.
It seemed like the show was targeted at a teen boy audience with Carmen Electra and the dancing girls. The award categories all had goofy "hip" names. Carmen's lines came off sounding about as fake as I imagine her breast probably are... There were dumb lines, like talking about button her pants after getting out of a car and saying something about dropping her top (referring to convertibles). The other hosts seemed just as bored with being there as Carmen was. I should have taped the show, then I could have skipped all the boring stuff. |
I watched it, yeah it was "interesting" but short of being "great". Kid Rock? What was HE doing there anyway, that part I didn't get.
I had to laugh when he said the "only" song that could follow Carrol Shelby was,,,,,, well I don't know WHAT that song was, it made zero sense to me! :D |
Next year, have Carmen but don't let her talk. Have a raffle and give the winning cars away (guarantee the $400,000 cars will win in each category).
Certainly have to wonder how many people voted for cars they've never seen (except on TV) and never ridden in (or know anyone who has). Seeing the exotics was fun, but I turned the sound off at half past & it was more enjoyable. |

Aww Kid Rock kicked ! Carroll was a cowboy so is Kid Rock A Detroit Motor Head Cowboy . I hope that helped :LOL: When I get my Cobra Together I am doing a video with { I want to be a Cowboy} and that was in the book before the Show !!! Big T |
