How about we go back to Champs in Addison and I'll see if Winkeman will bring in 427 Cobra out for everyone to see. I think Mark would feel ok leaving it at Champs as they block everything off for us..........

Gary, why did he sell the 289? I really liked that car... didn't know he was in the market for a new one. (well, old one ;) )

Talked to Mark Winkelman and if the weather is nice he will bring the 1966 427 Cobra (real) to the lunch, at Champs in Addison!
Kristen, I think Mark would of preferred to keep the 289 Cobra, but he sold it and his 1968 Shelby KR Convertible to get enough money to buy the 427. They are a bit pricey these days. He did tell me that if the seller of the 289 Cobra decides to sell, it in the future, he has 1st right of refusal to buy it back. Mark has been known to buy the same car more than once! |
If HE doesn't want it, I want second right of refusal!!! :LOL:

Guys...have we nailed down the location for sure? Is it Champs? What time and I'm assuming its March 5th. This will be my first one to attend...My car is FINALLY being delivered tomorrow!!!

hello, bbyrd..... the March meet "was" last Saturday! The Dallas group meets on the FIRST Saturday of each month. Watch this forum for time and location.
April's meet will be.... April 2. Glad to see you jump on! As far as I know, there isn't an email list. chris is currently updating the Texas Cobra Club website, are you thinking of the website there? look forward to meeting you in April. Kristen |

My car is a new kit. I have car number 1 I am a partner with the mfg in Austin. All composite one piece body. No dings no cracks. Think you guys will like it. |
