Cobra Raffle "A success!!"

Our high school shop class recently built a Lone Star Classic 1966 Cobra replica. Actually, we finished last year, and have been selling raffle tickets to replenish the money we spent on it. We have been throughout the state, going to swap meets, car shows, truck shows, all kinds of events to sell raffle tickets. You may have met us along the way, and may have bought some tickets. I am happy to say that we met our mark, and actually went over a couple thousand dollars. On April 30th, we had the raffle in the town square of Boerne, Texas and hundreds of people came out to enjoy the festivities and to watch the cobra go. A realtor out of Kendalia, Tx won the car, and hopefully she is enjoying it right now as much as we did. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, the teachers and staff at Vanguard, the principle, the guys who worked on the car, and of course, the shop teacher Pat Tracy. With the money we made, hopefully we can get some good tools, not "Chinese specials." Next school year we will start another kit car, hopefully another cobra, but we'll see. You can go to www.knightvisionracing.com for more info on the raffle.

Sincerly,
John James

"Man--that's sick!" (sick means good these days, you know!)

I wish one of our local high schools would do this--I'd love to donate my time and help!

Got any photos?

Pictures

As far as pictures go, we have tons of pitures from the different events, but we just have to get them to the computer. When we have some, I will post them on here A.S.A.P. We are trying to put together a video of our adventures this past year to show to the school at the end of the school year, and also to give to some parents.
