Reed Performance open track event Sept 16-17

Boys and girls, I have finally gotten a date and all the Preparations for our open track event at www.noproblemraceway.com

No experience needed. Now is your big chance to really enjoy that performance car on a safe racecourse with instructors.

Where: No Problem Raceway, just 50 miles West of New Orleans, LA
When: Friday Sept 16th, and Sat. 17th 2005
What: Driving School/ open track sessions
Cost: $200, for both days, car and one driver, additional driver $50

What you can expect: Short class room instruction on racing basics. Tour of the track and discussion of racing line, apex, etc. Personal one on one in car instruction (this may be limited). Plenty of safe, at speed, track time. This is a safe track layout with good run off areas with few obstacles to hit.

Accommodations: We have a block of rooms at the Hilton. It is on the lake within walking distance to the Treasure Chest Casino, and only 10 minutes from the French Quarter. Ample secure trailer parking has been arraigned.

Hilton Garden Inn
4535 Williams Blvd
Kenner LA 70065

Attendees should call to make reservations and reference the Reed Performance Group event.
The rate is $89.00 per night. Reservations must be made by August 15. After that date they will release the rooms in the block. Folks may still be able to get in after then, but no guarantee of space or rate. A Credit card is required for reservation. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will be charged one night's room and tax.

Please sign up early as we have limited space. We will only be able to accommodate a max of 40-50 cars, depending on how many people want personal instructions.

Thursday: Early arrivals at Hotel, buffet at Treasure chest casino or?? Bourbon Street?

Friday: 7:30 group departure for 1 hour drive to track. We want to get a full day in.

Saturday: 8 AM, State Police Escorted convoy of Cobras, with a busload of “Wheeling and Healing” event participants bringing up the rear. These Participants have donated over $7000 to The Carroll Shelby Children’s Fund. They will be taken for a ride around the track in a Cobra and may occupy most of the track time for the morning session. During this morning time the wives can be bused to the three Plantation homes within only a few miles of the track, and may visit the Cajun Village, a tourist attraction. (This Wheeling and Healing fundraiser is not finalized so we may have the whole day to ourselves.)

Noon Cajun lunch Buffet provided at the Track
1PM Open track for all participants, departing track 5-6 PM

Saturday night: Leisure time, French Quarter only 15minutes away. Casino within walking distance, with Buffet and Lounge with live band.

Sunday: Morning drive through French Quarter to Café Du’Monde for Coffee and Beignets.

Pretty simple straight forward tech is needed which consists of the usual shoulder harness, catch can, and Snell certified Helmet.

Bumping to the top.

If you registered for this event, can you post on here. Doug lost his list of who was registered and he's trying to clean up some paperwork.

Thanks,
Colleen

I just knew if I was tempted to say I'd registered for 5 people, there might be a few others out there as well.

Yo..Dougie...I didn't want to bring this up until everyone stepped forward and requested their refund. But, when it's all over....any money you have left...well, I registered and paid for those people.... ;) Yeah, I was tryin' to buy my way into everyone's good graces and stepped up and registered for all those people...since I didn't know them all at the time, I just paid how ever much money you will have left over... You can either send it along to me...or just buy drinks for everyone at our next get together.... :p

Seriously...really...I did....I distinctly remember sending you that check, and I got it back cashed from my bank. Yeah...I did....really... :o

In your case the honor system never works, and that is exactly what your wife Karen told me. You write "seriously" but your reputation says overwise. How much did you send me? Seriously, and I mean it.

Dougie....as long as we've known each other you should know there's no "honor" between us...!

Let me answer your question this way... You've already refunded the same exact amount I sent you... ;) In fact, after you bought dinner in Austin at Rudy's (...man good barbeque, huh?) I think I owe you!

...and good on ya for tryin' to get the money back to those who paid.
