Austin kit makers
has anyone heard of a small group making kits in north austin...was told there is...name?? phone number??
|
Nope!
Haven't heard, but then it's possible.%/

There was a company (owned by a guy and his son) making some very high-end Lamborghini kits, but I heard they folded last year. Outside of that, many people will choose to setup a company to buy/build their kit, so it's possible that's what you heard about ... ???

I talked with one of the gentlemen at our breakfast in Forney, back in August (?).
I didn't get his name or number, but he had a hood scoop cut-out to show off the material for the body; it was a very thin, rigid kevlar material. Very light weight and durable from the look, feel and handling. The body material peaked my interest, but the newness and unproven track record of the kit, not to mention unavailability as yet, put me off a bit. John |
Yes, he also showed driving a gaurdsman blue completed car (at the Cuban restaurant) in Dallas last Sept/Oct. I think his name was Tom, not sure. He said they are making turnkey minus cars with the goal of absolute originality.
The car looked very nice. It had Kevlar-based fiberglass, original type frame and suspension. |
