Wheel Polishing Needed
I bought a set of 17" wheels that have been neglected for a bit and they need some polishing work.
Anyone have a recommendation on a shop to shine these up? Thanks a bunch! |
Have you considered the Mother's PowerBall system? Looks like a pretty cool tool...

I don't have his number but Brad Shelby over in Garland is great with the polishing wheel. If you give Michael up at Keith Craft Motorsports in Plano a call I know he has the number somewhere.

Hello,
You might also consider Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish. I have used it and the results are fantastic. Have also used Wenol. I personally prefer the Wenol on the SS sidepipes and the Mothers polish on the Aluminum rims. Let us know how you make out. Regards, Mike |
Well, these wheels have oxidized and I'd be surprised if an over-the-counter polish is going to get there. I worked on just one spoke with a polishing wheel on my grinder with white rouge buffing compound and it took 30 minutes to get it to shine up. That's when I realized I need to pass it on to someone with more expertise, or more tools, or more patience....

FYI- I took the wheels to Hands Off Polishing in Garland. Frank and his crew's work is great and they're reasonable too.

Try some mothers polish and this handy set of felt polishing cones.
