Central Market Wants Us
Next Sunday, May 21, Central Market (NE corner of Coit and 190) is hosting "Car Gazing", a Classic Car gathering from noon-3pm. Jaguar, Rolls Royce and other classic car clubs will be there. I just happened in there with a Cobra shirt on and Nancy, the GM asked if our club could please be there. They're offering lunch and will have some CM gift certificates. No registration or admission, just a get together. Since most of our cars are already squeaky clean, I thought we might have a decent turnout. Sounds like a good excuse to show up some rival roadsters! :LOL:

I told Nancy I'd let her know how many cars to expect from our club. Anyone going to be able to make it out or am I going this one alone?:confused:
I know there's some cars out there in this general vicinity. |

Wish you could make it Kristen. Yea, raindate messed me up. Hosted 18 folks for Mother's Day. Can't make it to Tulsa - my Amy is having double foot surgery that Wednesday and can't be on her feet for 2 weeks. So I'm playing nursemaid. Not sure if she's going to make me wear the little white dress yet...:eek:
Hi Jim, I think they're pretty laid back, if you got there half an hour early, they could probably scoot the spaces around. I think they're just wondering if we're going to get 20 cars or more like 4. |
Right now I'm 80% sure I can make it, I'll know more by Friday. If we can only muster up four cars, will they still want us??

I'll still swing by, it's right down the street from me and I need an excuse to rewash the car. If I bring Amy, she could probably spend the whole 3 hours inside Central Market. :rolleyes: If anyone else can make it, reply back so I can tell them how many to expect. I'll tell her 4 cars for now. :(

Well it takes a snake in the grass to steal the show, but the Cobras that showed up sure made it happen. Between the Rolls (one was Queen Elizabeth's in 1960) and the 60's Jaguars, the 4 Cobras there drew most of the attention at Central Market. Larry's Daytona caused the band to stop and announce his arrival! :LOL: I think John Ross' noise caused several in the wine aisle to drop their bottles so they're looking for him for reimbursement....:3DSMILE: Nice group of folks and the free lunch was good too. They'd like to have us back, whenever our schedule allows.
