It should be broken in at varying speeds for the first 500 miles. Speed should vary from 90 MPH to 130 MPH. If you are going to do it for her do it correctly.

there's almost two feet clearance in front of the freezer. Does not impede getting to the Blue Bell ice cream in any way! whew, that's a relief! Might move the freezer to the right a couple of feet, and change where the Mustang toy shelf is. Need to add another toy shelf for the 500. hmmmm. lots to do!! Already have 3 models of it. :D

Now is the time to add a black and white checkered floor to your garage.

Dave- (elgecko) checkerboard floor... hmmm. I thought Steve S. was gonna come do it for me!!!! :eek: :p guess not. I've got those cheesy looking square fake rubber tiles that snap together. Runs the border, at top and far side. Wouldn't mind it being painted, and taken to the next level!

Colleen. Family cars?? You mean those 4 OTHER cars parking around here?? in a garage?? nah.....
Going to add a nice 'porte cochere' to the end of the garage- will be 3 cars wide, and fit my Suburban, Peter's old land Cruiser, and a car for the future for #2. (the ancient tan pickup) David's truck parks under the porte cochere at the back of the house.

Dave (Trularin)- yup, got the door fixed, and he replaced the motor, redid the wiring to the controller, put up a new controller, installed 3 springs in the place of the worn out two (the root of the problem- springs not strong enough- the door is insulated, 8 feet, and weighs a whopping 360#. needed 3 springs) and also replaced the end 'drums' where the wire sits. So. a lot done last/this week!
No, you cannot park in the garage. sorry! I am very excited! and, if we got Jay to park the green one in there?? would need another lift!! :LOL: :LOL:

will email you invoice. Installation was $400. worth every penny of course. :D

Off to school for a couple of projects. Kid projects, of course. :rolleyes:

Very nice. I am going to extend my garage this summer so I can enclose
two more cars. Not sure how we will deal with the sloping driveway but if we level it I may try a lift like yours if I have the height, which I doubt I'll
get, since our house is single story. If I eliminate the trusses I may
make it. Guess I'll just have to wait until the plans are completed.
It seems with these projects every time you finish one, two or three more
present themselves.:LOL:

Bernie. It's going to work out great! The lift legs are low, they are very stable and secure. Sit flat on the floor. There are bolt holes to bolt to the floor, but did not do that. Casters come with the package, as well. I can remove both cars, clip on these heavy casters, and move the lift. Outside the garage, to the other side, wherever. Of course don't move the lift with a car on it!! Can't you just see the car rolling off....

I am going to 'plug it in' the outlet with the garage door opener. It is standard 110. A regular plug, did not have to add electrical service, or install a 220. I thought I'd have to get an electrician out here to pull 220, (like on the clothes dryer) but did not. Very simple, very 'home user friendly'. I wrote all the directions in silver sharpie (marker) on the post. Kids will not be able to reach the plug (which will be unplugged and moved). I'll only put in the 15' extension cord when raising/lowering. Cannot be too safe!
Not too sure I'll show David how to operate it, either. (precautionary!!! )

I think it could work with a little bit lower ceiling, but not much. I have several inches of 'extra' over the Mustang, and allowed several inches of 'extra' over the Cobra, and the lift platform is 4". 50" Cobra, 54" Mustang, 4" platform, all adds up to hmmmm 108". Ceiling heighth is 120". Lots of room!!!
I have lowered the radio antenna on the Mustang, but I even have several inches to raise it back up.
Very glad i did it, and of course Jay has FOUR OF THEM in his shop, so I went with his recommendation.
There is a distributor in Ft. Worth, and the rep came out last Monday, measured, ordered it, and set up a delivery and install. (Outside contractor set it up).
All what I consider to be reasonably priced. I'll find the link and post it.

Oh, Ron, the new 500 will sit in the Mustangs 'old' spot. Might have to get ANOTHER lift if i get another toy!!!

Slapped it on at Run n Gun, and I just hate to take it off; reminds me of the end of a great party!!! :D
I need to take those off, and order some from finishline or such, that are 'static cling' or some such removable/restickable product.
But.... they aren't too crooked- the camera angle is bad???? ;) :LOL: :o

It was such a wonderful experience, I'm having a hard time letting it go.
A long way for you to come, but certainly a great time if you could make it!
