Cobra Accident
:( Hey Folks, just left the meeting at the Brenham Airport and driving east on 1488 noticed several police cars, an ambulance and fire truck. Off the side of the road, pretty well dinged up was the only Cobra at the meet. We stopped and I tried to see if the driver was all right, but he was already in the ambulance and a less than polite DPS officer ran me off. I'm sure it was the new member that I was talking to at lunch, didn't catch his name,(I think his last name was Pal or Paul) but if anyone knows how to contact him please let me know. I think it would be a good idea for everyone to call, see how he's doing and maybe cheer him up, I'm sure he would appreciate it.

We'll keep him in our prayers. Anyone who knows this new TCC member, please forward any info. to this thread.

Hope he is OK, and that both he and the Cobra are "back on the road again" soon.

This is a rough start for a new member. Our prayers go out to him.

His name is Ian Powell, white SPF with blue stripes. Super nice guy.
Ian, hope everything is OK. You're in our prayers. Mark and Sherri |
January Meeting
I sat next to Ian at lunch today, even joked about the ride home on the slippery roads. I'll keep him in my prayers. Please, if anyone has an update on his condition or a way to contact him to let him know we're thinking of him, please post it on the HCC yahoo groups website.
Ian, get well soon brother, Bill |
GOOD NEWS
Information has been posted on SCOF that this Cobra owner spun out and was injured but the injuries are not severe the worst apparently being a broken rib. One of the SCOF members had spoken to this man's wife and the word is he is being kept in the hospital overnight but should be OK. Whew. |
Glad to hear that it was only a broken rib. Could have been worse. Hopefully Ian's SPF sustained minor damage. Get well Ian, see you at the TCC Spring meet.
|
Of course I hope Ian the best and fastest recovery.
New subject: I live in Hawaii. Speed limits here are max of 50 with not one place where my new Cobra can be really enjoyed. Thinking of moving to Houston area. Maybe Woodlands area. It appears there is a significant number of Cobra owners in Texas. Anyone have any suggestions of any kind. Any responses will be appreciated. Thanks, Dave |
Glad to hear all is well, drop us a line when you get a chance Ian.
