New Guy

Good morning,

My son and I just went through the Factory Five Build School (Michigan) and are just getting it together for our kit. I look forward to being part of the forum and will need a few tips along the way.

First question I have is where to find the requirements for vehicle registration in Texas. Figure this is important, up front, to ensure we put it together in a legal fashion.

Picked up a pallatized 1994 Mustang GT. Learned it is the "Red Headed Step Child" but the work arounds seem simple enough.

We're starting to take the engine down, will probably do a rebuild and add a few performance-enhancing parts. Might order the kit by month's end.

Cheers!

Welcome to the madhouse. There are plenty of people in Texas that can answer your registration questions.

Enjoy the build.

Welcome,
I got my FFR on the road this past Summer. My son helped with the build as well. You'll really enjoy the build. I'm in Mansfield and willing to help.

Hey Viper,
Sorry I can't help with your registration question. Bought mine 'pre-owned'.
Welcome to the Club! Look forward to seeing you at a monthly Dallas area meet. We meet the first Saturday of each month for lunch, breakfast during the hot summer months. Watch this forum for details about a week before.
To catch you up, we have our annual State Meeting the weekend of the 23-25 in Austin, we have a Poker Run coming up and a cruise up through east Texas towards Bonham. Several FFR cars in the group so you can check out their builds.
Later!

Hey, this is great, thanks for the replies. I look forward to getting involved, getting some events on the calendar, and getting out and enjoying life a bit more. Far too much time spent working and traveling for the business. Hoping this build process is fun and rewarding.
