New Backdraft Racing Dealer in Texas area!
Hello everyone, many of you already know me from the Austin meets for the past 3 years, I had the Red/Silver Daytona Coupe this year. (by the way, I really enjoyed seeing you all again and spending time with you all...Houston and the Hooters girls, WOW!):MECOOL:
I have started a new Backdraft Racing Dealership here in Houston and I will now be supplying the Texas and surrounding states with the great Cobra replica that Backdraft Racing builds. They have a great car at a great price! There cars are completely built from paint to interior, brakes bled and sitting on the ground awaiting engines and trannys. I will be offering 2 major ways you can receive a Backdraft Roadster: 1. Complete rolling chasis ready for your motor and transmission, or 2. Complete rolling chasis with the motor and tranny installed, tested and driving. You pick... I will continue my commitment to excellence on all the cars I sell and support. Many of you already know me and the cars that I have built, and I plan to make sure that every customer is satisfied with my service.:) If you or anyone you know is interested in a Backdraft Racing Cobra replica that is a great product at a great price, give me a call or email whenever is convenient. Thanks, James Yale www.radicalroadsters.com jamesyale1@hotmail.com 281-804-5730 |
Welcome to the club.
Do you already own and have built a completed roller? |
Thanks Dinobyte, I appreciate the welcome. I've been a member since 2004 when I finished my first Roadster from FFR. I showed and raced it a few times and then sold it after 2 years to build a Coupe. My Coupe is a great car and was a much more difficult build than the Roadster. But, for those who know me, knows that I like a challenge...and the Coupe fit the bill.
I do have a BDR coming in the next few weeks. Car #491. I'll be picking my motor up next week from Keith Craft. It's a 408 with a few tricks that dynoed 590hp. I'm looking forward to getting it on the road within a week or so after I receive the car. I have worked on many BDR Roadsters in the past couple of years and I am fairly familiar with the parts and assembly. I'll have to get used to some of the new M3 suspension and brake items that Reg is now offering. Let me know if I can ever help... Thanks, James |
That's great! The more knowledge developed helps everyone. :)

Congrats on yor new venture, James. Reg and the gang in Florida and Jay at Vintage have set some very high standards for service. I'm sure you will continue their tradition. We're all glad to see the Backdraft family expand.

Where in Houston are you going to be located? Will you have a showroom or fill orders as they arrive? No doubt about it BDR has the best replica on the market right now cost wise. Just an FYI I sold my BDR in 6 hours and live in the clear lake area. There is a demand in Houston.

Wow guys, thanks for the responses!!! I appreciate the support! If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.
I'll see if I can respond to these individually: -Larry, yes I sold the Coupe. Sad to see her go, but the new owner is going to baby her. He lives in New Jersey. Maybe I can drive yours once in awhile:) -Mark, good to hear from you stranger. Where have you been? You only live 2 miles from me... We definitely need to get together. Stay in touch. -Tony, I thank you for the warm welcome to Backdraft Racing. I sure look forward to some exciting business growth. But, I'm more excited to see you RACE! Maybe you'll make it over to the states soon and show us your incredible driving skills! I think I'll follow your line...maybe for at least 1 lap... -Dean, the motor is from Keith Craft Racing. It's a production block 408 with 4340 Forged zero balanced crank, forged pistons, AFR 205 heads, hydraulic roller, Victor Jr intake, and Quick Fuel Carb. Keith has a very similar version of this motor on his site for a great price. Mine just has a little more carb and intake work. Check it out: http://keithcraft.com/ads/index.html#6 -deadbeatle, I gotta know the story behind the name??? Thanks for the support. I know I have big shoes to follow, but customer service is my top priority. And I will continue the achievements that Reg and Jay have already started. -Madmaxx, thanks for the message. I'll be starting small at first, but I plan to have a showroom in the next few months. I'll keep you guys posted when it comes together. For right now, I'll be ordering cars on a per person basis. Thanks to all and keepum rollin.... James |
